THE NEW MAC BOOK PRO 2009

What a way to kick things off than to post reviews about that most salivating notebook off all!

Enjoy!

"It's cheaper, faster, has more consumer-friendly features and now even has a 13-inch option for people who need slightly more portability. Those people who were waiting for the second-iteration version of a new hardware design (a pretty smart rule to follow with Apple products in general) before upgrading can safely do so now—and get a better deal in the process.

  • It's cheaper, faster and has a nicer screen
  • SD card slot more useful than ExpressCard for vast majority of customers
  • MacBook Pro line now has a 13-inch option
  • Built-in battery means increased battery size, and that means about an hour longer battery life"

  • The 13-inch MacBook Pro truly deserves its “Pro” label. But it’s priced at a “consumer” level.
  • It’s cheap, but not cheap junk like a Netbook.
  • It is fast, capable, and a ton of fun to drive.
  • Battery life is amazing."

"The new 13-inch Mac Book Pro has many strengths that make it a good notebook you should consider buying. It gets excellent battery life while running OS X, it can game on integrated graphics, its screen looks excellent, and it has fantastic build quality.

With that said its all-aluminum design causes heat to be quickly transmitting into your skin acting as a huge heatsink, driver support inside Windows isn't the best, and the sharp edges of the palmrest can be painful to lean your wrists across.

For its intended market most people won't care about the Window's driver problems and the substantial increase in battery life from the previous model is worth the internal battery. Overall if you can get past some of its design quirks it is a great notebook with a feature set that is hard to beat."

"The 15-inch MacBook Pro offers plenty of processing power and graphics muscle, as well as lengthy battery life, which makes it an outstanding system for heavy-duty content creation in the office or on the go. In future, we’d like the ability to switch between graphics modes without logging out, as well as an integrated mobile broadband option, but this machine gives power users everything they need, designed in a package you’ll want to show off."

"The inexpensive, 13" MacBook is the Pro's main competition. The MacBook provides better bang-for-the-buck with surprisingly few performance limitations; the MacBook Pro justifies its price tag with a stunning display, better quality keyboard, sleeker industrial design and greater expandability.

Pros

  • excellent display color, brightness and clarity; won't fade over time.
  • 2 GB of memory standard
  • excellent keyboard and trackpad
  • good expandability (FireWire 800, Express/34, 30" Display support)
  • very good battery life

Cons

  • noisy audio
  • hard drive inaccessible
  • won't run classic Mac OS software"

Its time for you to give the verdict if these reviews are all true.
